Those of you who are Artemia afficionados, including you, Madam SeaMonkeyJunkey, will be pleased to know that due to my misconception the topic of the coming two days will be Artemia and not Triops. On the third day Branchiopoda in general is to be featured. The fourth day is yet to be determined by my abilities to reimagine a previously conceived conception.

OUCH! You are absolutely correct, sir, madam, and/or it. I don’t know how I ended up with that misconception (possibly, because triops are marketed in a similar - maybe even misleading? - style).
I have to wonder, though, if this is not another case of a genericized trademark. Looking at many websites and forums it seems that a number of owners refer to any dried-pet-in-a-bag as a sea...

The topic of the next five days is Triops, that bizarre Branchiopod we typically call sea monkeys in an attempt to relate to an ancient, alien and generally icky genus.
